Construction Applications

Construction machinery describes both construction vehicles and construction tools. They can be used in stationary, semi-mobile, or mobile situations and are used to assist with heavy work on construction sites. The traditional areas of application include earthworks, mining and landscaping. Sometimes construction machinery is also used in farming or in raw material extraction. They are powered by either electricity or fuel.

In general, construction machinery is not only subjected to extreme mechanical vibrations during use, but also a variety of weather conditions. Here at MRS, we offer a broad portfolio of weather-proof, hard-wearing relays, gateways and control systems, which are already in use in numerous types of construction machinery.

Construction Vehicles

Construction Vehicles

Finishers, bulldozers, excavators and dumper trucks are among the typical construction site vehicles and are responsible for transporting and processing construction materials. There are a variety of possibilities for the integration of our products. As well as control and management functions, the CAN I/O Waterproof PRO V2, for example, can be used for safety purposes in the quick-change system on excavators.

Cranes in Construction Machinery

Cranes

Cranes serve as lifting equipment on construction sites, to transport a wide variety of construction materials and people. The goods can be moved both horizontally and vertically. There is a differentiation between stationary cranes, such as traveling cranes and slewing cranes, and mobile crane vehicles. The CAN 4 ANA is already being used for the control of slewing cranes.

Construction Equipment

Construction Equipment

Construction tools include the smaller pieces of equipment on the building site that do not have their own propulsion system. These include drilling machines, demolition tools, vibrators and pounders. MRS offers a variety of products for this, which work reliably despite extreme conditions such as dust, rain and vibrations.

Road Construction

Road Construction

Asphalt and concrete are among the most widely used construction materials on roads and building sites. Special mixing equipment is used for their manufacture. Stationary mixing equipment is used for the construction of dams. Semi-mobile equipment is primarily used for road construction and airport construction. Mobile machinery, such as drum mixers, are primarily used to make concrete and asphalt in DIY projects. Mixing equipment also includes screening units. The CAN I/O Waterproof is particularly suitable for this. It is completely encapsulated and is therefore protected against strong vibrations.
